R. Subramaniam fondly known as Subbu is HR Professional With over 25 years of experience in Strategic & Operational Human Resources. Subbu brings along International HR & Training exposure having managed and worked in diverse industries including Banking Services, Retail, Wellness & IT, across India and the Middle East.

Prior to his current role as a Group Head-HR- Al Maya group, Subbu has been associated with brands of repute such as GE consumer finance, Citi Bank in India and Sharaf DG LLC, aswaaq LLC in the UAE. His corporate stints span 25 years and has a unique blend of retail assets, business Operations, Training & Human Resources.

Subbu holds a chartered fellowship - FCIPD from the CIPD, U.K and a Post graduation certification in Human Resources from XLRI- Jamshedpur, India. He specialises in overseeing the fill employee life cycle, including recruitment, defining job descriptions, creating competency framework, policies & procedures, performance management, R&R and employee engagement.

Subbu is also a sports enthusiast-He enjoys playing squash and is also an active member of a few running clubs. He is married to Sharmila and their son – Sahil is an outstanding student of engineering in Biotechnology at the BITS Pilani campus in the UAE.
